Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Provide technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies and expert advice to the program, and related cloud computing architectures. Optimize memory management identifying the best ways to develop distributed cluster-enabled and graph processing algorithms. Assist customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas, performing RDF translations, and defining domain specific ontologies, where applicable. Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications for clients. Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics for clients in research and production areas. Work with massive data sets, complex algorithms, and team members from a variety of specialties to solve clients' hardest problems. Support a range of clients from front line analysts to researchers and senior leadership. Work as a key contributor on a collaborative, fast-growing, and highly skilled software development team. Experience with information extraction and analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms. Knowledge of a variety of advanced computer science and mathematical concepts, practices, and procedures associated with the analysis of large datasets, from indexing schemes to statistical tests-Knowledge of Cloud computing, Hadoop or MapReduce, Netezza, Vertica, BigTable, Pig, Terradata, or Amazon Web Services-Ability to obtain a security clearance. We're looking for Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certified Architects to help define and build our cloud capabilities and offerings. In this role, on our Architecture and Infrastructure team, you will support multiple projects developing our offerings, leading or supporting client demonstrations and working with our customers to implement various projects. We're looking for you to unleash your creativity and deliver innovative ideas using automation, ML/AI, RPA and other leading technologies to enable Perspecta and our customers to gain the benefits of cloud services. Duties include: Leverage your knowledge and experiences to drive Perpspecta's offerings and technology roadmaps Define, document, communicate and evangelize Perspecta standards for highly available, scalable, and self-healing systems Evaluate tools and technologies to advance Perspecta's offerings for Architecture and Infrastructure Contribute to architectural and infrastructural decisions Define, document, communicate and evangelize Perspecta cloud migration approach and methodologies Work collaboratively with application development and operations teams enabling CI/CD pipelines with automated builds and management supporting our parallel project driven Agile DevSecOps environment Collaborate with security stakeholders and team members to design, implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and NIST compliance validation Define appropriate application and environment KPIs and metrics Design and deploy monitoring and logging systems on Azure to collect and report on selected KPIs and metrics Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes Implement and maintain Azure Cloud Environments Design automated deployment and management solutions for a variety of cloud services (eg, Rails Application servers, Load Balancing and Proxy Servers, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Networks, Subnets) Customer Interface Collaborate with our customers to consult on and help implement their Cloud goals Define architecture approaches for cloud migration for customer applications/systems Participate in technical exchanges with key customer stakeholders to ensure alignment with their requirements and priorities Support our business development teams with customer demonstrations and proposal responses Maintains a high degree of professionalism, mentor other team members and support cross-training & knowledge sharing Qualifications Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD (Computer Science or related field) Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is required Hands on experience with implementing enterprise cloud solution is required Experience with Azure Commercial & Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) high environment is required 8+ years of experience in Architecture and Design of IT systems, design patterns, and frameworks 5+ years of implementation experience with design and architecture of enterprise cloud implementations OR at 7+ years of implementation experience with virtualization and datacenter technologies 2+ years of experience with industry compliance and security standards including FedRAMP, DoD SRG, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST OR equivalent cyber security and/or compliance experience 8 + years of experience with storage, archive, backup/recovery and business continuity processes in distributed operations 8 + years of experience working with either core networking and infrastructure application development technologies Experience needs to include Azure Virtual machines, Resource Manager, Service Fabric, Container Service, SQL Database, Virtual Network, DNS, and Azure Active Directory at a minimum Migrating client workloads into Azure from other clouds (public or private) as well as traditional on-prem solutions Managing client workloads across multiple Azure regions Integrating Azure offerings with other monitoring tools via API Continued in the additional Comments Experience implementing and orchestrating containers such as Docker, Kubernetes Experience with Implementing Analytics and Monitoring Tools, Splunk, Microsoft Operation Management Suite (OMS) Experience in using PaaS and IaaS tools sets such as OpenShift, Pivotal, Mesosphere Strong understanding of computer networking, security, virtualization and containerization Programing experience in Python, Ruby Experience with Ruby on Rails, Source control, Git, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, JSON Familiar with Database systems, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Options
