Position Description We're looking for a deputy director of collective impact to advance and direct a cohesive strategy that will bring together community members and other experts to address the region's major health challenges. This position will direct and strengthen a collective impact structure that ensures collaborative learning, brings community wisdom into health transformation and incentivizes equity to catalyze change. The deputy director will work in collaboration with the SWACH Clinical/Community Care Team, quality transformation director and Accountability and Building Community Team. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Deepen the structure for collaborative learning and action via the Regional Health Improvement Council, Healthy Living Collaborative Policy Committee, SW Washington Community Health Advocate & Peer Support Network, five-county regional learning network (Healthy Living Collaborative) and Regional Opioid Coalition 2. Integrate community wisdom into health transformation via community leaders and community health workers (CHWs) 3. Incentivize equity to catalyze change 4. Sustain community impact by collecting data to inform population health strategies and evaluating the efficiencies across systems of care 5. Manage and align programs with SWACH directors and executive director 6. Supervise five staff to include clinical/community linkages director, transformation improvement director, Healthy Living Collaborative operations manager, manager of equity initiatives and manager of policy and shared leadership strategies 7. Partner with other SWACH staff to promote collaborative impact strategies 8. In partnership with the support services administrator, enhance and manage systems of internal communication 9. Develop and maintain a thorough and nuanced understanding of SWACH Medicaid Transformation programs and initiatives 10. Represent SWACH and all program partners with integrity and respect 11. Maintain an organizational climate of trust, honesty and support 12. Develop and oversee budget for collective impact functions 13. In partnership with the SWACH leadership team, develop policies and procedures to support organizational infrastructure 14. Function as acting executive director, when requested 15. Other duties as assigned Qualifications-Key Competencies and Traits 1. Previous experience in building consensus among diverse stakeholders working toward a common goal 2. Ability to navigate different sectors and professional environments, as well as engage with various levels of leadership - from CHWs to corporate CEOs 3. Communicate effectively (written and oral); able to distill complex ideas into simple messages 4. Building a learning community culture 5. Ability to build confidence and capacity within organizations 6. Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with managers, front-line staff, executive leaders and diverse stakeholder groups 7. Able to function and work comfortably in an environment of uncertainty 8. Effective conflict resolution skills and participatory leadership style 9. Ability to lead and motivate staff to deliver on strategies 10. Humble and understands boundaries 11. Evidence of resiliency and flexibility 12. Considers an equity and strength-based lens in program and policy considerations 13. Ability to maintain a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity Qualifications-Education and Experience 1. Master's degree in healthcare or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 2. 8-10 years leadership experience in nonprofit or healthcare setting 3. Knowledge of current literature, trends and developments in collective impact 4. Five years' experience in planning and executing strategic initiatives 5. Experience working within large health systems and with community-based organizations 6. Experience with population health management and marginalized populations 7.
