The Solutions Architect is an entrepreneurial technical thought-leader that can guide an organization through the evaluation and implementation of a complete data center solution with an understanding of the technology, but also the business objectives driving digital transformation initiatives. Solution architects must know how to guide cross-functional teams, effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences, and create value for a variety of stakeholders including customers and partners, while generating new revenue opportunities for CoreSite.Responsibilities Provide consultative and strategic guidance for customers integrating CoreSite data center services to optimize cloud, network/WAN topologies, storage, and disaster recovery solutions Function as solution advisor to prospects, customers and partners to articulate corporate-level benefits of CoreSite data center solutions such as ROI, TCO, and risk management Engage with business leaders, engineering and facilities teams to translate customer objectives into technical requirements, while advocating CoreSite services and ecosystem solutions as key and active elements in the digital transformation strategy Develop joint value propositions and go-to-market strategies with solution partners and CoreSite marketing teams to increase new colocation leads and broaden revenue opportunities Participate in technical and industry thought leadership events to increase awareness of CoreSite services and to generate new sales opportunities Work closely with marketing and product teams to continuously analyze evolving customer requirements and market trends to ensure CoreSite is well positioned to solve for current and future demands Requirements Proficient in cross-functional collaboration with exceptional written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders Adept at developing and executing action oriented account plans that achieve desired outcomes with customers or partners Strong ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into specific deliverables Ability to identify unrealized customer requirements to drive new and incremental revenue opportunities Proficient in developing sales engagement framework that ensures solution development is structured as an integral part of the sales process Effective pipeline management to achieve opportunity velocity and closed-won rate Knowledge And Experience 7+ years of technical experience - IT design and engineering of private and public cloud solutions, storage architectures, IT consulting-related work, network implementation and delivery of customer facing operations are preferred. 3+ years of solutions selling experience in the high-tech industry preferably in the network, cloud and/or SI / MSP verticals Proven track record of increasing sales and qualified opportunities through solution selling Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field BenefitsBenefits & Life at CoreSite Not only does CoreSite have a fun, team-focused work environment, but we also offer great benefits!
