Travel Specialist/Office Management Consultant
Key Role:

Provide professional business office management support to a government research and development client in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate travel arrangements for clients consistent with established policies and cost guidelines, ensure that reservations for air travel, car rentals, and overnight accommodations are accurate, and confirm that itineraries, tickets, and instructions are available to employees on a timely basis. Support the travel team with reservations and other documents required to simplify travel, analyze services provided by travel vendors, and recommend changes, as appropriate. Provide administrative-level program and project office support, including analysis, report writing, action tracking, and other administrative functions, such as videoconferencing setup. Communicate with the organization on announcement or administrative data calls effectively, prepare and process various forms, and prepare briefings. Use technology-driven approaches to ongoing work processes and work independently, cooperatively, and collaboratively with various levels of staff. Apply judgment and organizational, critical thinking, time management, interpersonal communication expertise in customer service and coordinate arrangements and activities for executive travel, lodging, and meals.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with preparing and overseeing travel arrangements
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience in a client environment
-Experience with arranging meetings, conferences, and video teleconferences
-Experience with executive scheduling using Microsoft Outlook
-Ability to edit and perform quality control of reports, presentations, directives, and correspondence
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with federal travel systems or regulations a plus
-Ability to exhibit flexibility and adaptability and work in a collaborative team environment
-Ability to be proactive a plus
-Possession of excellent client service skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree a plus
