Manager of Graduate Admissions Operations - Georgetown UniversityLaw Center
The Manager of Graduate Admissions Operations oversees and supervises the daily operations of graduate admissions , ensuring that the administrative functions of the office are carried out smoothly and that departmental objectives established by the Dean of Admissions and Director of Graduate Admissions are achieved, if not exceeded. In addition, this position is solely responsible for administratively handling Graduate admitted student letters, records, tuition deposits and payments, and for providing Graduate admitted student statistics and reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions and other Georgetown University Law Center offices.
The Manager's duties include but are not limited to:
Graduate Student Acceptance and Enrollment
- Issue admit decisions for entering LLM, MSL, Certificate and SJD students.
- Track, process and safeguard all Graduate tuition deposits and payments.
- Coordinate the application processes for JD/LLM joint degree programs, Fulbright, LAWA, M IA/ LLM, and other scholarship programs.
- Design and manage special projects at the request of the Director of Graduate Admissions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of Graduate admissions (includes running regular checks to confirm that all procedures are occurring as they should).
Administrative and Technological Support
- Provide database management support to the Graduate Admissions team including, but not limited to, troubleshooting, training, archiving and data-mapping.
- Other tasks to be assigned at the discretion of the Dean, Director of JD Admissions, or Director of Graduate Admissions.
Data Management and Statistics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for entering LLM students.
- Provide statistics and comparative reports for incoming class to the Director of Graduate Admissions and other administrative offices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative experience and a proven track record of excellent customer service
- Ability to perform timely and accurate statistical analyses is critical.
- Ability to juggle various tasks and deal with the pressure of meeting multiple deadlines
- Fluency in Microsoft Office and database software, advanced administrative and excellent proofreading skills
- Proven ability to manage others
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of higher education administration and familiarity with ACES2 and Banner Student Information Systems software
