Location: Aberdeen MD Category: Engineer SUMMARY The SATCOM Systems Engineer will provide support for PM Tactical Network at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. RESPONSIBILITIES Expertise in SATCOM systems architecture, engineering, design, and analysis as it applies to Wideband, Commercial and Protected Satellite systems. Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems in support of tactical customers, users, and initiatives. Provide system engineering support to include requirements analysis, functional analysis and allocation and system-of-systems integration. Demonstrated knowledge of SATCOM waveforms and military standards requirements. Assist in defining and evaluating the Protected Anti-Jam Tactical SATCOM (PATS) program and future MILSATCOM systems. Support the analysis ofspace segment design and assess their compliance to the performance requirements based on Army tactical SATCOM architectures Assist in defining and developing the Network Centric Waveform (NCW), and future enhancements. Support systems engineering efforts within various Analysis of Alternatives and other customer needs. Support the analysis ofspace segment designs and assessment of functional and performance requirements in support of PM Tactical Network Provide PM Tactical Network representation at a variety of SATCOM-related meetings. Support PM Tactical Network in certification efforts for modems with the National Security Agency (NSA) and for terminals with Army Strategic Command (ARSTRAT) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree with a focus on Communications Systems or related Engineering field. Master's degree preferred. Self-motivated, multi-disciplinary engineer with prior experience providing systems engineering support.
