GIS, CAD, and IT Specialist - DOD Clearance Required
Job summary Candidate will support the daily production of government customer's geospatial enterprise across multiple domains. He/she will assist the Geospatial Analyst Team in various data creation, quality control, development, and maintenance activities in support of the government customer. Summary of essential job functions: IT: Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management. Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities. Develops technical applications to support users. Develops, implements, maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems. Provides training for system products and procedures. Performs application upgrades. Performs monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real-time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications. Troubleshoots problems. Geospatial Analyst: Under minimal supervision, perform data production for high-resolution imagery, elevation, military overlays, 3D photo-realistic modeling, and other geospatial products. Generate 3D models for integration into Skyline Enterprise Suite. Prepare imagery derived geospatial models using 3D modeling reports and products; utilize advanced CAD techniques to tailor terrain products and revise planimetric and topographic, and/or other target features in digital formats; and perform digital data manipulation of imagery and topographic information by querying, viewing, evaluating, and downloading digital data. Work as part of a team to provide project support to government customer in the form of reporting, product deliverables, and geospatial presentations. Perform a variety of geospatial data tasks: locate, collect, analyze, re-project, convert, compile with existing enterprise data, and conduct QA/QC in accordance with established documented procedures and management practices. Travel to customer locations with mobile training team to conduct software specific training and demonstrations. Maintain knowledge of various information technologies and geospatial/non-geospatial computer programs. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential) Two years or more experience in 3D modeling: simulations, CAD, SketchUp designer/integrator. Applicant must have at least a four year degree in GIS/Geography, Imagery Science, Computer Science or equivalent years of military experience. Proficient in geospatial and imagery sciences as related to Defense and Intelligence communities. Managing and maintaining IT systems Internet Information Server (IIS). Networking technologies. Familiarity with MS Windows Server 2008/2012. Applicant must be able to multi-task and prioritize daily in a changing work environment. Travel time, approximately 25%. Applicant must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. ESRI's: ArcMap & extensions, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, and ArcServer,. CompTIA Certification(s); A+, Network+, or Security+ Windows Computing Environment Certification MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word. MS SQL Server (w/ general understanding of SQL query syntax).
