Job Announcement

Under the general supervision and direction of the Assistant Director for Real Estate Services: coordinates the real property disposal program; supervises the operation and maintenance of the real estate inventory management program; reviews and make recommendations on all easement requests that affect county property; reviews and makes recommendations on all requests for the temporary use of county property; evaluates right of way requests from other governmental authorities; and gives direction to other agencies on real estate-related matters as needed. Manages initiatives that support maintenance-related issues of county-owned property. May or may not have to manage direct reports.

Note: The assigned functional areas for this position are commercial real estate, property management or related.

Employment Standards

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Management/supervisor experience
  • Three or more years of experience with applicable real estate assessment laws, ordinances and policies
  • Ability to present information to senior management staff
  • A commercial real estate background is helpful

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background and driving records check to the satisfaction of the employer.
This position is considered emergency service personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires mobility, dexterity, ability to navigate terrain in all elements, have good communication skills, computer skills, writing skills, financial skills and project management skills. Ability to operate a vehicle. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel interview; may include a practical (presentation and witten) exercise.
