This position is based in Winchester, VA as part of a dynamic agile team located on site supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work directly with our clients and development team to provide Oracle Database 12c support utilizing the agile methodology. Responsibilities will include maintaining client services and deliverables related to the database, investigating database issues, supporting the needs of both web and database developers, and managing system user requests to create and grant necessary privileges to perform their respective tasks in applications. The ideal candidate is driven towards excellence and achievement. Proven and demonstrable communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills are mandatory. US Citizenship is required. Location, Salary and Benefits: ‪Winchester, VA ‪Benefits - Health care, 401k, and paid time off ‪To apply you for this position you must have: ‪Minimum of 5+ years' experience with 11g and 12c database administration experience with skills in Oracle Database software 12c preferred At minimum, hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university US Citizenship ‪In the event of further consideration by our firm, you must be prepared to undergo and pass: ‪A full background and favorable security clearance check by the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), DHS and FEMA ‪A background screening performed by our firm, contractor or authorized agent ‪Skills and Experience: Minimum of 5+ years' experience with oracle database 11g and 12c Minimum of 3+ years' experience with database audit and security Minimum of 3+ years' SQL, Analytical SQL, PL/SQL coding and performance tuning Responsible for leading and mentoring less experienced staff and managing a work unit and/or group Able to work non-standard office hours to meet critical maintenance and release schedules Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle RMAN Self-starter and the ability to acquire new skills autonomously Demonstrably solid written and verbal communication skills to drive projects to successful conclusion; strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Working with Development teams - Design & Code Reviews, SQL support, and Change Request validation Flexible, self-directed and motivated individual, able to accommodate to shifting priorities with minimum oversight ‪Experience working within an Agile environment and an understanding of basic Agile concepts Understanding of complex application functionality Skilled in installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle Database software 12c Creating and designing Oracle databases and supporting releases Managing storage for the database Monitoring and tuning the database to keep it performing efficiently to include remediating found cybersecurity vulnerabilities to maintain compliance with agency standards Investigating and gathering diagnostic data for database errors, providing troubleshooting solutions, debugging code used in database and web interface, and creating and maintaining database queries Report critical errors to Oracle Support Services Managing support inbox requests Skilled in creating data models to support web-based applications, creating database objects and implementing rules to ensure data integrity, writing server-side PL/SQL or Java subprograms and client-side procedural code In this position you will be tasked to: Collaborate and communicate with our team, clients and stakeholders to produce deliverables on a timely basis Manage your tasks and associated activities for federal clients and manage client expectations Take direction from and communicate effectively with our firm's Program Manager Develop professional relationships with our team, clients and stakeholders Understand and be able to communicate the client mission, business and operational situation Work with and collaborate with the team's Program Manager, team members and teaming partners An ideal applicant will: Be able to manage, prioritize and work multiple projects and tasks at the same time Be enthusiastic, professional, energetic, detailed orientated, well-organized, and possess an excellent business acumen Be expected to maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior in business and in public Be able to articulate our firm's core competencies, the client's mission and the task objective Be familiar with IT operations and have a basic understanding of Cloud and Database structures Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose production defects and provide root cause analysis
