Job Description ArzyNet is in the process of onboarding three new Small Business clients in the Annapolis and Northern Calvert area and is interested in employing a well-experienced Help Desk/Junior Network Admin to assist in providing the managed IT services for these companies. Support opportunities will grow as new clients are added in the Northern Calvert/Annapolis area. The applicant must live within this service area in order to provide reasonable response times. Job Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to) Responsible for receiving and tracking Help Desk tickets for several clients and ensure that tickets are resolved and closed in a timely and satisfactory manner. Updates the ticket system with a clear explanation the progress being made and the final solution. Provides technical assistance and support either in person or by using our remote desktop support software. This will include other clients throughout Southern Maryland. Mileage reimbursement is negotiable. Has the ability to handle most day-to-day Desktop issues without direct supervision. Escalates support requests to in-house admins and engineers, as needed, and assists in the troubleshooting effort. Supports the client's IT resources as fellow team members to achieve our goals together. Configures, installs, and maintains desktop computers, laptop computers, handheld devices, printers, monitors, portable data storage devices, and other general peripherals throughout their entire life cycle. Recognizes and manages the potential IT security risks associated with every new device/system/application brought into the network. Remediates the security risks identified by system reports. Performs routine patch management across all end user devices. Documents inventory changes to end user computing devices, software renewals & licensing, and maintenance plan renewals. Provides occasional audio/visual support prior to meetings. Creates and maintains client documentation and How-To procedures. Assists in the development of ongoing training and documentation for users. Effectively translates complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand language to assist non-technically oriented customers. Assists engineers and administrators with the management and operation of back-end infrastructure; to include servers, backup solutions, email, database systems, and network file share systems. Prepares quotes for end user purchase requests using the arzyNet quoting system. Able to set up and manage accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. Troubleshoots and establishes wireless connectivity for all end user devices. Works flexible hours, including evenings and the rare weekend emergency. We are driven by our goals, not by time. Assists in the cloning and deployment of PCs and laptops. Interprets and applies policies, guidelines, and procedures of the organization. Installs voice and network data lines in accordance with BICSI guidelines. Requirements Since one of these location is a school, the applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. The applicant must live within this service area in order to provide reasonable response times. Associates degree or better in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline and 5+ years of work experience in desktop support. Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse user base (children, nurses, upper management). Experience with administration and configuration of a Microsoft Windows environment including Windows 10 and Server 2016 & 2019. Some understanding of SharePoint Online and Office 365 administration. Experience in managing personal computers and various COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) application software packages in a multi-user environment. Advanced-level expertise with Microsoft Office. Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds in weight. Able to work extended and flexible hours. Pay: $42K-72K/year Find It Chesapeake .
