Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Located in Edgewood, Maryland, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term temporary position. How you will make an impact - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department - Perform special projects as assigned - Produce full-cycle A/P - Provide support during internal and external audits - Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies - Provide customer service to internal business partners - Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents - Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds - Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred - Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred Accountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
