Responsibilities

  • You will create purchase, task, or delivery orders for supplies and or services.
  • You will cooperate with commercial vendors, organization staff, and customers to resolve issues relating to the purchasing of goods and services.
  • You will contact clients and suppliers to orally solicit or gather information for procurement actions and correct procurement problems.
  • You will explain procurement processes with management, personnel, or vendors to meet compliance requirements.
  • You will administer procurement actions in negotiating changes, settling disputes, and terminating procurement transactions.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Must obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE Form 450 annually.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field 1105 Level 01. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing acquisition support for supplies and services; performing market research and cost analysis; and assisting with pre-award/post award processes.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing purchasing and administration support for supplies, equipment, and service orders/contracts.
