Responsibilities

This is a developmental position.

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
  • Perform analysis and advisory assignments related to the effectiveness of programs.
  • Perform limited management analysis assignments that are developmental and recurring in nature.
  • Participate in studies and analysis of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management to achieve greater economy and efficiency and prepares materials for work flow and operational analysis, cost studies, and/or equipment utilization.
  • Review both program operational plans and current and incoming work projects and provides basic recommendations for improving methods.

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must meet A, B or C below:

A. Completion of one full year of graduate level education. --OR--

B. Completion of Bachelor's degree with the following Superior Academic Achievement: A standing in the upper third of your college class or major subdivision (i.e. school of engineering) at the time of application;
  • A grade point average of 2.90 of a possible 4.0 or its equivalent for all courses completed either: (a) at the time of application; or (b) during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum;
  • A grade point average of 3.5 of a possible 4.0 or its equivalent for all courses completed in a qualifying major field of study either: (a) at the time of application; or (b) during the last two years of your undergraduate curriculum;
  • Election to membership in one of the national honorary societies (other than freshman societies) that meet the requirements of the Association of College Honor Societies. --OR--


  • C. Applicant must have one year of have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Examples of such experience may include performing developmental assignments under the close guidance of a higher level specialist that provided exposure to a wide variety of management and administrative methods, techniques, and practices such as updating budget data on spreadsheets; compiling data for budget requests, etc.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
