Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Financial Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, SC location. The position will have a primary focus in accounting analysis, revenue billing and collections, tracking billing/reviewing aging of receivables and responding to customer inquiries.

Responsibilities
• Analyze cost center invoices and revenue reports for proper authorization and completeness; verify customer accounting fiscal data through systemic reviews ensuring the accuracy and completeness necessary for successful billing.
• Actively maintain a monthly revenue collection tracking spreadsheet in order to verify the efficiency of internal collections and monitor key performance metrics.
• Respond promptly and accurately to requests and inquiries from customers
• Responsible for searching and processing rejected interfaced documents in accounting system.
• Run reports to track billing and review aging of receivables; send out past due notices for outstanding manual bills.
• Work effectively and efficiently within an ISO 90001 Quality Management System certified environment ensuring conformance with work standards and quality

Required Qualifications
• A 4 year degree from an accredited college or university in the area of financial management or business administration or combination of courses and at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required; (NOTE - requires a minimum of 24 hours in Accounting-related courses with preference for an Accounting degree or emphasis)
• Must be analytically oriented with advanced writing and research/editing skills
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• General Ledger experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Desired Qualifications
• Experience in Federal Government or Department of State financial management is highly desired
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent reconciliation, research and query skills
• Understands accounting theory
