Grants & Contract Administrator

Do you have at least of 5-7 years of work experience in grants and contracts administration through Federal and other types of funders?  Our client near Union Station is seeking a Temporary Grants & Contract Administrator to be responsible for the administration and management of grants and contracts and for implementation of contract and grant administrative policies and procedures.  This person will provide orientation and guidance on funder and award specific requirements to program staff and serve as a technical resource to their staff in interpreting funder rules and regulations.

Responsibilities will include proposal development, submission and negotiation and will participate in preparation and review of proposal budgets.  Will also review solicitations, prepare certain required proposal documents, and ensure that proposal submissions comply with solicitation requirements and then negotiate with prospective subcontractors/sub-grantees and prime contractors.

Must have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field as well as a minimum of 5-7 years' work experience in grants and contracts administration through Federal and other types of funders.  Extensive experience working with US government contracts is also needed (USAID experience strongly preferred) along with demonstrated working knowledge of various types of contracts (such as CPFF, T&M, and FFP) in addition to grants and cooperative agreements.  Advanced understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), AIDAR, USAID Standard Provisions for U.S. Nongovernmental Organizations, 2 CFR 200 and 700, and other regulations (i.e., CFR Title 40) is needed along with strong analytical skills to successfully perform financial reviews and other forms of qualitative analysis.  Must also have advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
