Project Description: The Program Coordinator is a second-tier entry level position to program work at IFES, providing support to primarily the Programs Division.  The Program Coordinator will provide both administrative and programmatic support for current and developing programs in the IFES Americas Region. For more information on our programs, please check: https://www.ifes.org/americas    Job Responsibilities: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     • Coordinate program work and other special projects for the division. • Contribute to analytical reports, project design, and project evaluations. • Participate in budget development processes. • Input financial data for pipelines, review data in financial system for accuracy, check accuracy of financial reports, participate in review and reconciliation of credit cards.  • Coordinate and participate in project implementation and project results monitoring. • Troubleshoot project problems.  Contribute to identify and implement creative solutions. • Review/prepare/submit material for procurement including drafting RFP/RFQ, preparing selection packages, and tracking existing contracts. • Monitor/track pending IFES grant/contract actions and coordinate timely response. • Participate in proposal development and new initiative processes. • Assist with recruitment of field staff and consultants including preparing posting and collecting documents for hiring packages. • Under the direction of the supervisor, provide training to Program Associates and Interns • Contribute to writing and editing program reports, program success stories, and relevant content for IFES’ website. • Participate in IFES’ knowledge management initiatives and other thought leadership efforts. • Attend meetings at request of supervisor to gather and share information with colleagues. • Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education:  Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field. Masters degree a plus. Experience:  1 year of relevant experience in international development or related field.   Related Skills or Knowledge:  Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.  Familiarity with USAID regulations and reporting requirements and experience in proposal development preferred.  Very detailed-oriented and organized.  Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.  Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.  Collaborative, team-oriented individual. LANGUAGE SKILLS:  English required. Proficiency in Spanish is required. TRAVEL:  Travel may be required, up to 10%
