As a Technology Inside Sales Representative, you will support the business development and sales generation for airport technology solutions with an emphasis on identifying prospects and contacts within for new business.

This is a non-career, term job.

Serves in the Technology Business Development and Sales (TBDS) Department of the Office of Technology in the Headquarters Office.

Supports the TBDS Department by identifying and qualifying prospects and contacts within a target market. Contacts prospects to determine interest level and need; responds to incoming sales calls and demo requests. Tracks and updates prospect lists within a customer relationship management system. Performs related functions.


Conducts research to identify prospects and contacts within a target market.

Serves as first line of communication for inbound and outbound sales calls.

Researches and identifies prospect lists by following up with trade show leads; targets markets through social networking and other lead sourcing avenues.

Calls or emails prospects to determine interest level and need. Follows up with requested product information or passes requests on to other TBDS staff for processing.

Schedules sales calls or meetings for the Technology Business Development Lead.

Tracks prospects leads in a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) or other tools.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing contacts.

Assists with industry events attended or hosted by the Airports Authority. Maintains accurate and detailed contact list of attendees.

May assist in product or software demonstrations.

Assists other team members as needed in a range of other tasks to support the group's overall mission.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Two years of progressively responsible experience in sales or marketing, preferably within a B2B environment.

Ability to analyze data and information and formulate recommendations, with emphasis on market research.

Ability to work independently, taking the lead on tasks and completing the task with a high degree of quality and timeliness.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to understand technical information and communicate it in a clear manner for a broad range of audiences.

Skill in using a computer and office software, with emphasis on software needed tracking and maintaining call lists.


Prior experience in technology sales and marketing.

Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM).


A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.


A state driver's license in good standing.


Work may require occasional travel, such as participation in trade shows, conferences, and sales missions.

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, customer service, team work, and adherence to guidelines.



A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
