Government Scientific Source Inc, GSS, an innovative small-business distributor of scientific instruments and laboratory products to the Federal government, is seeking an ambitious, high-performing Account Manager to join our growing Customer Service and Account Management Department.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Research and develop new business opportunities with potential and existing clients.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper workflow.
- Support pricing and contract compliance with existing contracts, agreements, and blanket purchase agreements.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of products to customers and assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Some customer facing interactions while attending vendor shows.
- Help supervise personnel or business when needed.
- Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews by preparing and presenting data reports and account statuses to Sales VP and Customer Service Manager.
- Three or more years of experience in a related field.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work independently with emphasis on time-management.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- College degree preferred.
