Government Scientific Source Inc, GSS, an innovative small-business distributor of scientific instruments and laboratory products to the Federal government, is seeking an Account Specialist to join our growing Customer Service and Account Management Department.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Manage existing customer relationships at a higher-level.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling products based on incoming orders and quote requests.
- Respond to standard request from suppliers and provide subject matter expertise about specific account related issues.
- Identify pricing and catalog issues and address such issues with the appropriate internal or external team member to ensure resolution.
- Provide support for QBRs and other contractual requirements as needed.
- Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information to improve margin strategies.
- Continuously support training and process improvement strategies.
- Assist with cross-training Customer Service Representatives.
- Two or more years of experience in related field.
- Commitment to superior customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient use in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task with emphasis on time management.
- College degree preferred.
