Requirements

UI/UX Developer, CRM - University Information Services

The UI/UX Developer plays a critical role in University Information Services (UIS) by working on large scale, enterprise-level projects that drive the development of efficient business processes while also working to integrate technologies that support multiple stakeholders. S/he is expected to utilize modular architectures, next-generation integration techniques and a cloud-first mindset to provide vision to the CRM team and its users.

The UI/UX Developer's duties include but are not limited to:
  • Working with the Salesforce Lightning Design System and the CRM development team to provide modular interface solutions to users of the GU360 CRM.
  • Evaluate the regularly scheduled enhancements to the Salesforce platform for potential improvements to the existing GU360 CRM project.
  • Document solutions and business requirements to ensure that users needs are met and that code deployment is handled responsibly
  • Manage development of test and implementation plans, change management plans and participate in development of training materials.
  • Facilitate discussions, evaluation of requirements, analyze of alternative and manage a decision-making process around product selection with an eye toward maintaining a robust and unified information technology infrastructure.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience with Salesforce development, implementation and solution design and/or three years of professional development experience with JavaScript
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 

  • Understanding of higher education needs and environment

  • Strong project/personnel management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a team and or leading in a team environment


Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
  • Professional development experience with JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON, HTML5
  • Database management, ability to learn new software, research and writing skills, comprehension of project management methodology

  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming
  • Ability to manage application development projects where stakeholders represent functional offices, as well as technology deployment projects where stakeholders are internal IT staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the UIS and across the University

  • Solid ability to gather, organize and analyze data in the completion of assignments
  • Must possess a commitment to service and quality, and the ability to integrate these concepts into the School culture
