Responsibilities

  • You will provide oversight training, and certification of a core cadre of active military and contractors to teach AT/Security Force courses.
  • You will determine and resolve problems concerning all internal administrative policies, procedures, and directives.
  • You will perform fiscal planning and evaluation of technical resources required to deliver curriculum at the detachment.
  • You will execute the annual financial spending and monitor execution of approved budget through continuous review and analysis of cost incurred.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge in training, curriculum development and application of force protection program tactics (i.e. close quarter combat, tactical shooting and moving, physical security, crisis management, bomb threat management, terrorist threat levels, weapons of mass destruction, surveillance techniques, use of force, vulnerability assessments, etc.) in delivering training, redesigning courses to adopt strategies for emerging threats and evaluating other trainers; 2) Performing acquisition of complex, multi-functional instructional systems for command or learning sites; 3) Monitoring resources including financial to correct deficient situations.

The work is primarily sedentary. However, the employee occasionally performs moderate physical exertion involving walking, standing, climbing structures, unarmed self-defense techniques, and attending small arms related training evolutions.

Work is performed in an office setting, however several training periods weekly will require the incumbent to be in a high risk environment that involves swimming, shooting live, blank, ball, and simulated ammunition, climbing, and extreme temperatures.

Wearing protective clothing and eye protection is required.
