Senior Consumer Loan Analyst, Merger & Operational Reviews Summary PenFed is hiring a Senior Consumer Loan Analyst, Merger & Operational Reviews at our headquarters in McLean, Virigina and Alexandria, Virginia. The primary purpose of this job is to perform analysis related to operational risks associated with Mergers and Acquisitions, and operational reviews of PenFed's Collection and Loss Mitigation processes according to the policies set forth by PenFed. This senior level position will perform due diligence that focus on operational processes, which includes loan origination, loan products, operational procedures, lending policy, compliance, collateral control, data integrity, documentation, servicing, and reporting. This position will serve as a mentor to Junior Analyst, providing assistance as needed. Perform portfolio analysis of mergers or acquisitions to determine whether the credit quality adheres to PenFed's lending policy. Analysis includes the review of the product description, underwriting guidelines, loan approval, and loan process, closing documents, collateral control, data integrity, portfolio performance, and collections and reporting. Provide administrative support to assist in the growth of the balance sheet and/or increase of the ROA via merger or acquisition. Support PenFed legal, compliance and IT departments with outlines merger processes. Assist in contacting vendors (credit bureaus and e-OSCAR) to ensure proper transfer and coding of loan data. Assist in mapping/converting the consumer lending portfolio of the merged credit union to the PenFed servicing system. Review merger related contracts and make recommendation to Senior Management. Prepare written analysis of due diligence results with recommendations for review of Senior Management. Conduct monthly reviews of Collection and Loss Mitigation processes in accordance to the policy set forth by PenFed. Participates in related special projects. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in Collection and Loss Mitigation processes. Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of four (4) years' progressively responsible work experience in credit, collections, and loss mitigation preferred. Proficiency with statistical analysis required. Strong working knowledge of industry lending and internal lending policies and products. Strong working knowledge of accounting principles. Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
