Duties & Responsibilities Medical Science & Computing is searching for a Laboratory Technician to provide support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with MSC and it is on-site in Bethesda, Maryland.Support team members in the Nonhuman Primate Immunogenicity Core Laboratory.Perform peripheral blood mononuclear cell isolation using Ficoll gradients.Isolate cells from tissue using a tissue homogenizer.Cryopreserve samples using a controlled rate freezer.Store samples in liquid nitrogen tanks.Organize and inventory mechanical and liquid nitrogen tank freezers.Retrieve samples from freezers and transfer to end-users.Follow Standard Operating Procedures.Make detailed observations and maintain accurate daily records Requirements Bachelor's degree in immunology or a related field.At least 1 to 3 years of related experience. Previous experience supporting research at NIH is preferred.Knowledge of/experience with the principles, practical methods, procedures and techniques of molecular biology, cell biology and immunology required.Skill in data management and analysis relative to biomedical research.Strong communications skills, both oral and written.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Medical Science & Computing is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
