Leidos is looking for a high performing candidate to fill a position supporting the nation's nuclear deterrence mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Technology Development and Integration as a principal program analyst and engineer. The scope encompasses providing strategic and program management subject matter expertise to the Federal program manager and staff. This position requires an experienced person with demonstrated project management and technology management expertise developed during engagement with Federal and/or Defense agencies. This is a full-time contractor-support position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Washington, DC. Primary Responsibilities The Principal Analyst provides direct support to the National Nuclear Security Administration's Office of Technology Development and Integration federal program manager. Duties encompass providing program management support for a multi-million dollar, multi-site portfolio of advanced and applied research and development projects that are focused on the nuclear stockpile. * Quickly understanding advanced and complex technological projects and analyzing their potential impact and benefits to the nuclear stockpile. * Communicating complex technical and program information to senior federal managers and external stakeholders in a manner that fosters understanding of future benefits and impacts. * Establishing technical liaisons with scientists and engineers at the national security laboratories, nuclear weapon production facilities, and Department of Defense who are engaged in sustaining the nation's nuclear weapon stockpile. * Researching and preparing background information and/or talking points for meetings to include technological challenges and developments, government and stakeholder concerns or interests, and programmatic updates. * Preparing program management documentation, scheduling requested meetings, and coordinating with government program management staff. * Collecting information from a wide variety of sources for executive level documents, briefings and reports, and consolidating the material into a finished product. * Preparing high level meeting summaries, highlighting action items and due dates, and other key leadership feedback. * Assisting with the preparation and assembly of briefing packages. * Tracking and monitoring progress on ongoing projects and initiatives in a technical portfolio. * Attending and contributing to meetings on a myriad of technical and programmatic topics. * Managing internal and external program reviews and associated planning; coordinating program review logistics. Basic Qualifications Required Clearance: Active DOE Q and/or DOD TS clearance Required Education, Experience, and Skills: * Bachelor's degree in science or engineering * At least 12 years of experience with military or civilian programs that focus on technical systems or products. * At least 5 years of program management experience in technically based enterprises. * Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. * Exposure to and experience with communicating with executive level civilian or military management staff on complex technical issues. * Facility with the Microsoft products (ie, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in science or engineering. * Experience in applied research and development program or project management * Nuclear weapons background or knowledge LeadGen LeadGenPM Leidos is a Fortune 500(R) information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader working to solve the world's toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
