Your Role and Responsibilities Preferred Location: Austin, TX, Foster City, California, or Research Triangle Park, NC Strategic Customer Success Lead/Solution Architect: At IBM we know technology. As an IBM Strategic Success Lead, the candidate will team with some of the best minds in the industry to create innovative quality solutions focused on clients' business needs. Here, the candidate will cultivate and use their knowledge of leading edge products and technology, coupled with their industry and business skills, to influence clients. The Strategic Success Lead's primary focus is on developing solutions from the customer's perspective leading a small team of solution developers focused on multiple key accounts. The ability to glean customer pain points and gains is required. Once the customer's desired experience is mapped out then the architect delivers solutions in response to specific business opportunities. The Strategic Success Lead will develop technical skills, absorb professional knowledge quickly and performs assigned technical tasks including study, analysis, prototyping to prove out a hard problem and the ability to work details including debug and coding. This position will also work to identify opportunities and define plans to grow and accelerate customer's cloud presence and increase their IT infrastructure stability and reliability. Helping customers in transitioning to new IBM Cloud capabilities or assisting with implementing initial partner capabilities may be required. Providing feedback to OM/Development from these experiences will help drive improved customer experiences. This role also performs a variety of responsibilities including supporting system integration in a technology/industry specialty. This role requires experience in cloud architecture, social, mobile, analytics and security. Enterprise Architecture and/or Integration Architecture experience should be demonstrated to include Event-Driven architecture, middleware, systems/infrastructure, applications, databases, and performance tuning. This role proficiency in of a broad set of information technology tools, methods and architectures, architecture expertise in multiple application platforms, and an understanding of current or future technical applications and architectures being driven by an industry. The role will require not just understanding the architectural model, but using it in practice to help facilitate/develop/validate new and current architectural models at scale and use those artifacts as a way of educating themselves and customers. Strong development skills, agile CI/CD knowledge, experience in development of micro-services with plugability into multiple environments for testing purposes, problem solving, and development in Python and other languages are required to be effective in the role. This role will define best practices in the critical evaluation and selection and/or development of software components and hardware requirements of applications. This role requires a holistic view of enterprise solutions.
