Provide subject matter expertise for SAP ERP Finance solutions, including Financial Accounting, Funds Management, Controlling, Grants Management, Solution Manager and other related applications, to assure that best practices are implemented; the modules and applications are efficiently and effectively used to support Inter-American Development Bank business requirements.. The team's mission:. The Inter-American Development Bank has implemented SAP for the majority of its corporate financial processes. The Information Technology Operations Division (ITE/ITO) is currently looking for a Senior SAP Finance Functional Contractual to join the SAP Center of Excellence (COE) to assist the Bank in making both Functional and Technical implementation decisions.. What you'll do:. Work in the technical implementation of conceptual and detailed solutions designs of SAP applications enhancements to meet business needs. Perform or direct the necessary configurations in SAP, writing, reviewing and approving detailed functional specifications and test documentation in the SAP Finance area.. Advise on the benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system designs of internal teams and external vendors and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules. Evaluate and administer the delivery of service, maintenance, and enhancement requests under area of responsibility from the Application Managed Services vendors (AMS). Ensure awareness of the impact of enhancements and releases across the different functional areas. Determine and validate the technical feasibility and the potential impact of changes / new solutions to the existing implementation. Analyze requirements from the business and take appropriate steps to define solutions and set expectations. Perform unit and integration tests of new solutions / changes before handing over to business users for final user acceptance testing. Engage and work closely with corporate applications Subject Matter Experts (SME) across business and ITE, building trust and confidence. Provide input in the planning and execution of releases to the SAP production environments. Ensure documentation is prepared and maintained according to SAP COE standards, including functional and technical specifications, run books, and testing scripts. Communicate with SMEs across the ITE landscape regarding operational support of SAP, with focus on integration with dependent processes and applications. Qualifications. What you'll need:. Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology (Master's Preferred), Finance, Business Administration or related field, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in service delivery in SAP Finance in a production environment with SAP ECC 6.0, including a year minimum of hands on experience in Enhancement Package 6, or above, environment. Minimum of five (5) years of SAP functional experience, specializing in* design and configuration of SAP Finance modules (Fl-CO, FM). Knowledge of Finance integration with one or more of the following modules: SAP Grants Management (GM), Project Systems (PS), and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), would be a plus. Minimum two (2) full life cycle implementation of SAP Fl-CO modules required. One year of practical experience with SAP Solution Manager for Application Operations or Lifecycle Management required. Experience of using an automated testing tool would be a plus; Work Soft preferred. Experience communicating technical and business solutions, and issues to all levels of individuals, including business and technical managers.. Languages: Fluency in English is required.
