Our client is an MEP engineering firm that has completed projects in several environments including healthcare, telecommunications, government sectors, and facilities/mission critical data center environments. They are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer.The Electrical Engineer will manage the electrical designing of projects, create designs and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role. They will also handle multiple simultaneous projects in wide variety of projects with both normal and emergency power distribution systems for educational, industrial, health care, laboratory, commercial core and shell buildings and tenant interior fit-out projects.Additional Responsibilities Include the Following: Creating conceptual designs gathered from meetings with the client for Field Engineer focus Preparing construction drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and performing field inspections Working with management to respond to RFPs Establishing project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policies Representing the company in project meetings as needed AutoCAD experience required Revit experience preferred but not required Preferred working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows Preferred working knowledge of SKM Power Tools Software for Fault/Coordination and Arc Flash Studies Preferred working knowledge of Light Pro or Visual Lighting Design SoftwareQualifications: Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of EIT required; Maryland PE certification a plus LEED AP a plus US citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances Ability to work in a team environment, effective interpersonal skills Experience with Electrical Systems such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Switchgear, Nurse Call Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Security System coordination desirable Experience working on complex facilities design or for Hospitals, Data Centers, Mission Critical projects desirable Ability to successfully work independently Strong electrical building systems background necessary Possess a current state-of-residence drivers license
