Assistant Director, Center for Entrepreneurship Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 60 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, DC Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director, Center for Entrepreneurship-Salisbury University Downtown. Primary Job Duties: Directs, manages and supervises the entrepreneurs, ecosystem partners and business engagement community partners with activities associated with the Center for Entrepreneurship in the Salisbury University Downtown building. Directs and manages daily activities in the downtown entrepreneurship center. Ability to support center resident entrepreneurs with assessment and coaching, mentoring and direction with an action plan with a specific emphasis on team collaboration and a specific launch date. Ability to network in the community to introduce the center residents to the business community, investors and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Ability to write grants and request external resources to support the activities of the center. Serve as one of the representatives for entrepreneurship and economic development in the local, regional and state. Ability to develop collect and compile metrics that calculate and report the impact of the center on the university, city, region and state. Ability to conduct final assessment and launch entrepreneur and their business out of the center. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 3-5 years of related experience. Must have experience working with entrepreneurs, economic development and the community. Experience with project planning, business plan creation, and grant writing is also required. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package.
