The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support a Federal Government client at the customer's facility located in Springfield, VA. The Senior Systems Administrator will support tasks involving administration and maintenance of Windows Serves and Active Director, troubleshooting and resolution of problems, and development and documentation of procedures. Key Duties Administer and maintain the operations of Windows Servers and Active Directory Installation and configuration of WIN 2012 R2 Servers Research, design, development, and testing of system components/equipment/subsystems Conduct upgrades and modifications to components/equipment/subsystems, testing, and technical support Development and documentation of policies and procedures Supervise and mentor junior staff Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. 7+ years of practical experience in Systems Administration. Possess extensive experience in managing Windows 10 Desktop and MS Windows Server 2012 R2. Experience in the administration and maintenance of Exchange servers. Strong experience in installing & troubleshooting Windows and MS SQL server-based applications and deep knowledge of Desktop and Server-based applications. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve problems independently, quickly and completely, and communicate them clearly to local users and management. Strong user focus and management of user expectations with an ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence. Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions and documenting them. Inquisitive, self-motivated individual interested and capable of working with partners in the development of a growing IT infrastructure supporting the dynamic needs of multiple research and development efforts. Security Plus Certification and Microsoft Certified Professional. Ability to travel 25-40% of the time. Currently possess a DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a favorable CBP BI.
