Network Operations Manager NOC Manager Herndon, VA Fulltime Position Key Accountabilities Be a hands-on (NOC) Network Operations manager with deep technical experience in networking, systems, hardware and software Manage a team and offshore resources Directly manage the network project portfolio, defining and tracking milestones and managing resource capacity Troubleshoot and resolve production issues Participate in on-call rotation and provide occasional weekend and late-night project support Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services Partner with Engineering teams to define and implement performant, highly available and cost-effective network solutions Assist with setting and maintaining service level agreements Implement proactive network monitoring tools and manage the reliability and performance of the network to meet business requirements and SLAs Ensure network devices are current, patched and secure Establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and telecommunications equipment Required Skills Strong 10+ years general Networking experience At least 5+ years of (NOC) Networks Ops experience Strong experience working with networking protocols including TCPIP, MP-BGP, MPLS, ISIS, etc. Experience working in a medium to large scale 24x7 ecommerce environment Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
