Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:As the GeoDesign Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the GeoDesign practice leadership in executing GeoDesign and Geotechnical projects. You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, often involving multiple offices. Your ability to work with a high- performing team, commitment to exceptional technical excellence, meeting project submission deadlines, and exceeding our clients' expectation, and active participation in business development or technical branding will make you the perfect fit for our team.Typical GeoDesign projects include analyses and detailed design of support of excavation systems, underpinning of existing structures, stabilization of slopes and other earth structures, steel and concrete design, soil improvement, shallow and deep foundation systems, earth retaining structures, grouting programs, design and oversight of positive cutoff walls, and numerical analysis. You are expected to apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Services may be provided for existing or proposed projects in the public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and/or industrial sectors. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Engage in safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for assisting in creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrating safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.Preparation of proposalsPreparation of detailed design calculations, drawings and construction specificationsWillingness to be a team player and to maintain a collaborative and collegial mindset Interested in business development Coordinating GeoDesign services with internal and external clientsConstruction administrationTraveling as needed for project and client development Other tasks as required to support projects and business goalsDevelop understanding and be aware of project-related risk and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies. Requirements:Master's degree in Engineering.
