Aviation Analyst, Senior
Key Role:

Oversee the technical and policy evaluations for projects related to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and urban air mobility (UAM). Comprehend the landscape of UAS and UAM technical resources, including literature, expert interviews, conducting stakeholder engagement, and leading the evaluation of safety, integration, economic impacting of these technologies. Manage UAS and UAM project and business development to completion within budget and expected timelines. Direct and mentor junior staff. Lead the development, refinement, and delivery of polished work products, including reports and briefings. Monitor project progress to ensure the timely delivery of milestones and work products.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with supporting UAS or UAM projects

-Experience with programming languages and data visualization tools, including Python, R, VBA, JavaScript, or Tableau

-Experience with developing strategic proposals and analytical deliverables, including data analysis

-Ability to lead a technical project team, mentor more junior staff and effectively interface with clients to ensure timely delivery of work products within budget

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS in Engineering and 5 years of experience with aviation, aerospace, or urban unmanned mobility technology

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using gap analyses and process documentation from start to finish to deliver high quality work to government and commercial clients

-Experience with leading panels and presenting novel research concepts to UAS and UAM experts in major conferences and meetings

-Ability to show expertise in the current UAS and UAM industry, research and development efforts, regulatory environment and technological developments

-Ability to establish relationships with stakeholders, and experts in the UAS and UAM industries

-DHS Suitability clearance

-MS degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
