This position, as part of the Domestic & Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) Cross-Division Support Team, will work primarily from Fairfax County's Pennino Building. Under general supervision of the Division Director, performs advanced-level analytic and technical work in analysis, data and grant management, program analysis, utilization reviews and quality assurance, research and policy development related to the operations and services of the DSVS.

We are looking for a flexible, organized, critical thinker that possesses any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in the field related to the assigned functional area; plus, four years of professional work experience providing high-level data analytical support for an office made up of diverse teams. Ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be a strong team player, and have strong problem-solving skills. Serves in lead capacity in the performance of a wide range of professional-level management work for DSVS' 7 distinct program areas (Anger Domestic Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT), Advocacy Services, Community Engagement and Outreach Services, Coordination Team, Crisis Line Services, Domestic Violence Action Center, and Survivor Services). Provides technical advice and guidance to program managers. Monitors, assesses and reports on business processes and activities for internal and external customers, including developing efficiency of operations and services. Provides leadership on the evaluation and strategic planning of the division's operations, policies and activities. Directs large and complex projects. Performs advanced level professional management work for multiple DSVS functions, including grant and contractual research, coordination, writing, management, administration and reporting. Assumes lead role for grant audits, County Board of Supervisor requests, and all allied partner data requests.Plans, conducts, and/or oversees studies and research activities to ensure program quality, determine gaps in service/unmet needs and efficacy of existing programs and services. Serves as division representative on committees, task forces, and management teams to evaluate the effectiveness and efficacy of existing management/administrative systems. Supervises and reviews the work of the MA II, data volunteers and the administrative support team. May be required to attend evening and/or weekend meetings and activities, as needed. Conducts special projects and carries out other duties as assigned.

Position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Ability to use spreadsheet, pivot tables and statistical analysis software packages to store, analyze, manipulate and present data.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Ability to identify possible solutions to solve problems and effectively present ideas to staff.
Functional areas include: Advanced-level analytic and technical work in analysis, data management and program development; reporting of performance measures for internal and external clients; quality assurance; research and policy development related to the operations and services of the DSVS.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; plus four years of professional work experience with in the functional area.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license required upon hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A flexible, organized, critical thinker who has a can-do attitude and strong personal boundaries.
  • Has a bachelor's degree in the field related to the assigned functional area plus four years of professional work experience providing high-level data analytical support for an office made up of diverse teams.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Sufficiently mobile to attend meetings and events outside the office. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to use automated technology. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
