The Biology Department at St. Mary’s College of Maryland seeks to hire a Director of Instructional Support for Biology, beginning July 2019.  Primary responsibilities include (1) coordinating the laboratories for our two-semester first-year Principles of Biology course, (2) teaching one Principles of Biology laboratory section each semester, (3) managing our undergraduate teaching assistant and student worker programs, (4) administering our senior capstone research program, and (5) serving as academic advisor for up to 15 students per year.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree is required, and teaching and supervisory experience within the field of biology or a related discipline is preferred. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
