All Day Family Care is a growing privately owned outpatient mental health office that provides mental health services to children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns and emotional needs. We are seeking to add Psychiatric services to our program. Part-time position. The NP performs full range of services to include: Examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of clients Determines tests needed, and orders and interprets clinical and laboratory results Assists in developing comprehensive, therapeutic treatment plans for an assigned caseload Evaluates psychotropic medication needs of clients and recommends appropriate treatments Refers clients to hospitals for admission and follow-up when needed Prepares formal written reports on evaluations and recommendations for the authorized referral agencies Performs other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will: Knowledgeable of DSM diagnoses a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions, milieu therapy, family systems approaches, and mental health-related evidence-based practices; Knowledgeable of resources, targeted towards the health of adults, children, youth and families Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a proven capacity of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; 1 year providing direct patient care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders is preferred Prescribe, and/or direct psycho-therapeutic treatments or medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Graduation from a state certified advance practice program specializing in a psychiatry/mental health; An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in Maryland
