Job Description: We are seeking a Field Engineer with customer facing experience to provide the installation, integration, test, trouble shooting and repair of our client's mission critical VOIP based Voice Switching and Conferencing products. When not at the customer sites throughout, the Field Engineer will stage and test equipment in our client's location in the Baltimore, MD area before shipping. They will also through provide customers with post-installation technical support. Other Responsibilities: Perform site surveys to provide requirements to engineering, production, and installation Document site data and produce system build documents as well as customer deliverable documents Represent the company directly to customers on all site matters Provide detailed product and service training as necessary Work with hardware and software development teams to remedy problem areas Complete reports for management regarding the type of equipment involved, status, and field resolution of complex service assignments Qualifications: Must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain clearances to work on Government sites. ASEE or BSEE or Computer Engineering or similar degree VOIP systems experience Customer facing experience. Must be willing to travel to customer sites throughout the US approximately 80% of the time. Must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain clearances to work on Government sites. Experience installing, integrating and maintaining complex end-user telecommunications equipment, which could be VOIP telephone systems, PBX's, Call Center Systems, Call Recording Systems, Command and Control systems, etc. Experience with wide array of test equipment such as volt-ohmmeter, ammeter, telecommunication test sets, oscilloscope, function generator, and IP analysis tools such as Wireshark. Experience with engineering drawing package tools VISIO, AUTOCAD, etc. Knowledge and experience in working with networks, servers, digital/IP/analog telecommunications Ability to write technical and operational end-user documentation; proficient in Microsoft Office suite Ability to work independently and communicate progress/problems to customers and company personnel effectively Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently
