Summary

This position is located in the Department of the Treasury, Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture (EOAF) which is responsible for managing the Treasury Forfeiture Fund (TFF) that is comprised of forfeiture deposits made by participating Treasury and Homeland Security law enforcement agencies. The incumbent serves as an analyst responsible for conducting analysis of all aspects of the asset forfeiture program for the purpose of enhancing efficiency and ensuring effective uses of the TFF funds.

Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

-Performs in-depth analyses of the various aspects of the TFF agencies' forfeiture practices, policies and specific high-impact forfeiture investigations;

-Develops analytical products to inform the projection of patterns of TFF's future revenue and expenses and ongoing verification of assumptions;

-Develops written analytical products on subjects involving TFF agencies' significant financial investigative initiatives;

-Evaluates funding requests submitted by TFF member agencies for consistency with forfeiture policies, Treasury and Homeland Security strategies and policies;

-Participates in the development of EOAF's funding strategy and the formulation of cohesive, effective financial plans that support Treasury and Homeland Security priorities and enhance financial investigative capabilities.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

- Producing written analytical products related to law enforcement policy or other public policy issues, containing specific recommendations; AND
- Performing analysis of technical issues; AND
- Formulating funding strategies for areas such as law enforcement priority areas; AND
- Developing policies or analytical products for programs such as the forfeiture program.


For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

- Producing written analytical products related to law enforcement policy or other public policy issues; AND
- Performing analysis of technical issues; AND
- Developing policies or analytical products for programs such as the forfeiture program.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
