Web Services Integration Lead - University Information Systems (UIS)
The Web Services Integration Lead is responsible for the development and maintenance of data integrations between the Workday Georgetown Management System (GMS) and external and internal systems. GMS is the system of record for the University's Finance, HR, Benefits, and Payroll. S/he works with other GMS team members to maintain roughly 250 internal and external integrations. Reporting to the AVP for HCM and Financial Systems, the Web Services Integration Lead has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
- Designs, develops, tests, and deploys new data integrations to internal and external systems supporting new projects.
- Supports and maintains existing data integrations, supporting HR, Benefits, Payroll and Financial operations.
- Handles regression testing existing integrations as part of deployment support or supporting Workday release activities.
- Develops interfaces/integrations from end-to-end, including requirements gathering, design, build, test and deploy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, a related technical field or the equivalent experience ; Master's degree preferred
- 8-10 years experience developing web services integrations in an ERP project environment
- Strong project management skills and business acumen
- Effectively collaborate and communicate in a team environment, and also interact with other functional and technical teams comprised of individuals with varying technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Workday Integrations Pro or Workday Integrations for consultants certification a plus
- Functional knowledge in finance or HR business process best practices a plus
Technical Qualifications
- Expertise in designing, building, testing and maintaining web service integrations, utilizing Workday tools such as Studio, Cloud Connect and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) as well as third-party tools
- Experience building integrations utilizing SFTP, EDI,or web services methodologies, including REST and SOAP web service protocols
- Familiarity integrating with other systems in the University's system landscape, including Banner and Salesforce
- Proficiency with data conversion and data analysis, plus experience using various XML and XSLT tools
- Functional knowledge of HR, Benefits, Payroll and/or Financial business processes and reporting
- Ability to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements and to efficiently acquire and utilize new technical and soft skills in response to such change
- Solutions-oriented attitude with analytical and problem solving skills to produce timely, efficient, and high quality deliverables
