Duties

Summary

Students may work full- or part-time (not-to-exceed 20 hours per week) while school is in session, and full-time (depending on agency needs) when students are on a vacation period or school is officially closed.

Responsibilities

As a Pathways Intern, you will have an opportunity to:
  • assist in a wide range of duties in support of: transitioning the agency to automated learning management; analysis and visual display of assessment data; expanding access to a varied suite of adaptive learning offerings; and organizational development initiatives;
  • collect and analyze relevant training information to produce reports;
  • complete data entry to ensure transfer updated training records to the automated system;
  • aggregate and analyze historic data in support of assessment tasks;
  • contribute to team efforts through participation and activities, meetings, listening to other opinions and working collaboratively to accomplish team goals;
  • use various enterprise tools and technology to prepare and share documents (i.e. SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, in corporate Learn Management System); and
  • provide support in scheduling meetings, taking notes and responding to Training inbox; and assist in on-site training setup.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship position, ALL of the following requirements must be met:
  • Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate, or professional school (go to https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ to verify accreditation status). Individuals who are enrolled must be taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate. "Half-time" is defined by the school in which the student is enrolled.
  • Applicants must be in Good Academic Standing: Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA
  • Applicants must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school study leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.

  • Highly Desirable:
  • Majors in human resources, organizational development, communications, psychology, or business administration.
  • Students enrolled in a school within the Washington, D.C. commuting area. If you are enrolled in an online degree program for a school normally located outside of Washington, D.C., please indicate this clearly in your application package.
