LRS Federal is hiring a dependable Senior Mechanical Inspector to oversee and coordinate the progress of federal construction projects. The most immediate construction project is located in Bethesda, MD and is a large-scale renovation of a 13-story bio-medical research laboratory. The Senior Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for assisting the government in overseeing, monitoring, coordinating, and inspecting construction progress. This position will require solid communication skills as the Senior Mechanical Inspector will communicate with the government stakeholders, the A-E firm, and the construction contractor throughout the duration of this multi-year project.The specific responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Inspector will include:1. QA inspections of mechanical systems during construction progress to confirm compliance with contract compliance, as well as applicable codes and regulations.2. Review of construction contractor's schedule to make recommendations to the government on schedule adherence.3. Assist the government in coordination of construction contractor RFIs.4. Provide error-free daily reports summarizing construction progress and the activities performed on-site.5. Provide oversight of health and safety measures to ensure compliance with contract requirements.6. Assist government personnel in monitoring and inspection of construction progress.The minimum qualifications for this position include:**MUST have recent demonstrated experience providing QA inspection of laboratory facilities (within last 10 years)**PREFER recent demonstrated experience providing QA inspection of construction projects valued at $100M-$200M*Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field preferred
