Project Engineer Construction Management firm seeking mid-level Project Engineers: The Project Engineer assists and supports the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned construction projects. The position performs routine daily activities and gathers and distributes information to subcontractors regularly. Candidates must be a flexible and adaptable team-players, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. Work will be performed both in office and on jobsite. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Management of assigned trades in all facets of preconstruction to include quantity take offs, preparation of bid packages and buy out. Oversee performance of assigned trades including, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems, maintain relationships with clients, designers and consultants Initiate, prepare, review, and track RFI's. Receive, review, forward, and track status of Submittals. Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications Conduct quality control inspections Assist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required. Attend and/or leads project meetings as assigned. Assists and/or lead project close out. Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others Other duties as assigned Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in construction industry. Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree; Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture related disciplines are preferred. - 3 to 5 years experience in construction or related field preferred - Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven work environment. - "Hands-on" team player.
