Director of Digital - North America Location Washington, DC, United States Posted on Jan 11,2019 Apply for this job your email: upload resume: Profile DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL - NORTH AMERICA The Director of Digital will lead the creation, roll-out, and ongoing optimization of digital products, assets, and methodologies to ensure that the Nando's brand is engaging and profitable in digital commerce. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining an industry-leading digital presence for Nando's restaurants across North American operations, which includes the US and Canada. This position will oversee the creation and implementation of digital solutions and will be responsible for ensuring that marketing and brand objectives are realized through Nando's digital product offerings. The Director of Digital will develop and execute the digital marketing strategy across Nando's digital platforms, including website, app, email, CRM, SEO, and digital advertising. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in digital marketing, a strong background in using data to optimize marketing strategy, and creativity that drives guest's engagement and sales. He/she will collaborate across multi-functional teams to drive digital strategies to deliver Nando's Peri Peri digital goals. The essential functions of this position are mapped out below: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Product Strategy, Development, and Management Co-develop execute overall strategic vision for the Nando's digital products to achieve its customer experience and commercial ambitions in close partnership with the VP of Marketing for North America Ensure digital product offerings are up to date, accurate, and properly functioning Improve and optimize all digital and eCommerce platforms on a rolling basis, periodically enhancing UX across digital products Implement user testing on digital assets to continuously optimize user experience and drive conversion Work closely with IT on development of technology tools and infrastructure to support digital product and experience offerings Partner with IT and other members of the Marketing Team to ensure promotions are timely and accurately realized on POS and across other digital products Ensure that digital products are operating with less than 1% downtime Identify digital investment priorities to drive future innovation in line with department goals and overall strategic vision of brand Digital/eCommerce Marketing Develop conversion-driven digital campaigns and execute their day-to-day management Develop execute the digital marketing strategy to achieve the eCommerce revenue stream commercial targets. Drive app downloads and active usership to acquire new users, reengage lapsed users, increase frequency and prevent lapse through preemptive engagement strategies Implement SEO best practices to optimize and build conversion within online search parameters Generate and convert traffic to eCommerce sites, such as online ordering, delivery, gift cards sales, and catering Develop strategic digital marketing plans and assets for New Restaurant Openings, Local Restaurant Marketing campaigns, and other company-wide marketing initiatives Develop and execute strategies for driving frequency through digital marketing initiatives Track customer through all stages of their customer journey to develop and maintain an optimal sales funnel Develop and broadcast content through own direct and social channels to drive revenue generation through digital products Customer Base Management Develop Nando's fan and customer database capabilities to target and engage with key guest segments Ensure the ongoing retention and stimulation of purchase-frequency within the Nando's customer base by utilizing cost-effective email marketing initiatives Use targeted communications to encourage higher visit frequencies and higher spend Test targeted campaigns to assess which activities drive the greatest engagement and/or ROI Utilize insights generated from Nando's loyalty program to further enhance it and increase frequency through loyalty rewards Create and implement a strategy or rewards-based program for Nando's super-fans Analytics Reporting Collect and analyze data to improve marketing programs and optimize user experience Utilize email marketing platforms to further engage Nando's guests with the brand Measure and monitor customer behavior from interventions Develop reports to link digital initiatives to ROI, including managing promotion tracking software Build measurement techniques using both industry-standard reporting and bespoke measurement, as appropriate, to clearly show the ROI from eCommerce investments Develop models to show the ROI of key digital assets such as the Nando's app Utilize a test-and-learn model to consistently deliver increasingly effective and efficient digital comms and assets Partner with other members of Marketing Team to measure effectiveness of efforts across the board (digital and via restaurants) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 6 years' experience in digital marketing Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for marketing or related field Restaurant industry experience strongly preferred Strong UX and strategic background Hands-on experience in SEO and SEM required Experience in working with Google Analytics and tracking tools required Experience with email marketing platforms Experience with e-gifting preferred Strong knowledge base in digital and traditional media, emerging trends, creative tools, and UX 6 years' experience in digital marketing Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for marketing or related field Restaurant industry experience strongly preferred Strong UX and strategic background Hands-on experience in SEO and SEM required Experience in working with Google Analytics and tracking tools required Experience with email marketing platforms Experience with e-gifting preferred Strong knowledge base in digital and traditional media, emerging trends, creative tools, and UX
