Forming impactful partnerships and collaborations PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Healthworx, the incumbent is responsible for, but is not limited to, the following: Lead the assessment and financial monitoring of prospective partnerships, investments, and acquisitions Develop financial models and perform analyses on both CareFirst data and the data provided by prospective opportunities Manage the transaction process and lead interactions with finance and legal teams Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions. Support the merger and acquisition execution processes and integration efforts, including deal evaluation, negotiations with target companies, and cross-functional project management of a transaction Develop and operate dashboards and other periodic reporting of investment process status and other investment operations activities Coordinate strategic and effective investment processes and evaluate the performance and risks within the entire portfolio Mange interactions with investment banking advisors Monitor the performance of portfolio companies Create and manage the deal pipelines for specific sectors of interest a? cents External outreach within the investor and entrepreneurial community to create sourcing opportunities, inform product strategy, and stay abreast of the competitive landscape a? cents Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities a? cents Synthetize health technology and business model trends into actionable insights Additional core responsibilities include:Contribute to the agile, iterative culture of the Healthworx team Attending internal and external meetings, including presentations to executive teams Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, executive management, and external stakeholders, providing clear and accurate data. Support the analysis of complex business issues and strategic opportunities SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Corporate Development Analysts QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:Required Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (eg, Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting) 7+ years of transaction experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or corporate development environment, with exposure to the healthcare industry 5+ years of experience leading and supporting the development of team members; Required Skills and Abilities:Strong financial, quantitative and analytical skills Independent thinker who can think strategically and creatively and also drive tactical execution Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive projects cross-functionally Ability to effectively interact in matrixed environment Excellent presentation skills. Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and quality awareness. Proven effective written and oral communication skills, Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently, promote flexibility and teamwork. Ability to effectively communicate complex issues and findings in writing and orally to CEO, Board, executives, and peer audiences Strong PC skills, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, database applications Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
