The Chief of Staff for International Relations will support senior leadership in managing UnitedHealth Group's External Affairs efforts across Latin America - particularly in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru -, greater Europe and other emerging market opportunities. S/he will be responsible for streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating priorities between distinct countries and teams. The Chief of Staff will be highly collaborative with outstanding communication and management skills and a special focus on executive-level advising. This person will report to the Senior Vice President, International Relations. Primary Responsibilities * Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership * Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation * Review, design, and execute on improvements to organizational structure, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them * Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity * Serve as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and regional CEOs, effectively ensuring alignment on strategic priorities, crisis management, proposals, and planning * Assist human capital with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns * Manage daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders. Manage internal cadence of and developing agendas for meetings. Oversee the an array of administrative tasks, including managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and scheduling facilities * Build and develop relationships across teams to ensure effective feedback loops and that deliverables are met. Help define new operational strategies, working with senior leadership on special projects * Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications Required Qualifications * 5+ years of public affairs experience, preferably with international policy landscape in the health care sector * Proficient in Spanish and/or Portuguese UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
