Company in the Aerospace sector. Work directly with customers to identify system engineering support needs, establish priorities, define budgets, and manage resources. Pursue efficient systems engineering processes to guide and control the development of new systems. Builds and maintains a world-class systems engineering staff and facilitate staff development. Also leverage engineering talent from across Aerospace's engineering matrix. Keep customers informed about issues/risks/concerns, and recommend mitigation approaches. Provide mission assurance and specialty engineering support to develop, tailor, and flow requirements. Engage Aerospace Engineering Matrix support for mission assurance standards, space environments, EMI/EMC, contamination control, reliability, and test engineering. As required, engage Aerospace Engineering Matrix support for review of contractor analyses and generation of independent performance analyses. In conjunction with Aerospace program office and Aerospace Engineering Matrix staff, provide performance analysis and sensor mission performance support to evaluate prime contractor activities, perform trade studies, and assess user satisfaction. Support customer performance analysis studies, user interactions, and responses to Congressional or other senior leadership. Support customer planning for spacecraft and Enterprise testing, as well as resolution of significant issues uncovered in spacecraft integration & test. Support customer planning of post launch initialization. Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering, mathematics, science, or related technical discipine. Minimum of 12 years of progressively more responsibile experience. Experience in spacecraft systems engineering, development, test, or performance analysis Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of customers, technologists, program managers, system engineers, and senior government leadership. Also, demonstrated tact and flexibility in dealing with challenging personalities Ability to travel frequently (1-2 weeks per month). Current and active TS/SCI Ability to work in or relocate to Chantilly, VA This position requires the ability to have and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
