For further information, see SAIC's privacy policy SAIC looking for a self-motivated, innovative Lead Readiness Systems Engineer to fill a cross cutting Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) position supporting a major national customer. The position is located in Chantilly, VA and will include significant time on site with the customer. The winning candidate will assist the government in end-to-end system/application planning, implementation, deployment, test and operational readiness of complex systems/applications supporting multiple missions. This work will include development of requirements, independent validation and test, document preparation/review and the ability to translate the intent of legacy processes into new implementations. The Lead Readiness Systems Engineer (SE) will Ensure customer programs meet performance, cost, and schedule commitments; prevent unacceptable failures or delays; and protect the integrity of the operational baseline. Provide Government staff and senior management with consistent, orderly and coordinated reviews and reports on software development contracts. Help the customer find common positions across multiple government organizations with regards to technical issues, test planning, and operational readiness determinations. Assist the customer to develop and implement systems engineering processes to manage and oversee deliveries and reduce risk across Agile software development release processes. Help teams adopt new processes and mindsets, while meeting customer policy requirements. Qualifications Current TS/SCI with CI polygraph Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline Minimum of 9 years' experience as a systems engineer Familiar with end-to-end life-cycle management of software systems/applications Experience with system requirements, user story/feature descriptions, test plans and/or other common engineering documents Demonstrated ability to analyze program documentation, generate conclusions as to the sufficiency and risk of a program delivery, and communicate those conclusions effectively in written and oral form. Experience with interoperability and testing, to include ability to review and improve test procedures Familiar with modern Agile development/DEVOPS methodologies Familiar with modern cloud service implementation for applications Desire to work as part of a dynamic team in support of the intelligence community.
