Base2 Engineering, LLC httpswww.base2engineering.com Job Description In the embedded systems environment, the systems engineer works with all of the various box-level design disciplines digital, analog, power, interface, RF, mechanical packaging, and software. Essential technical knowledge includes system-level digital, analog, and power design fundamentals, communicationnetworking interface standards and protocols, RFwireless system technologies, system-level mechanicalthermal packaging fundamentals, and embedded software design. This knowledge permits the system engineer to document and allocate requirements, analyze designs against those requirements, and verify that the technical team will (1) meet those requirements, and (2) satisfactorily test the system against those requirements. Responsibilities Capture and document customer requirements Hold or attend project kickoff meetings with discipline and technical leads Document on internal wiki overall system architecture with block diagrams Attend all design reviews and status meetings Anticipate and communicate problems in component interaction where possible Facilitate communication between disciplines to guarantee design goals and checks are met Complete or assist in creation and enforcement of project schedules and resource management Hold close outLessons Learned meetings Verify all technical documentation and project materials are collected and archived correctly Position Requirements BS in Engineering discipline is required The ideal candidate has 10+ years of detailed system design (sub-assembly level) experience, 5+ years interfacing with customer to gather true requirements. RF Systems experience Ability to interface with customer, technical leads, test team, etc. in order to ensure efficient and successful design through production process.
