Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This is a bargaining unit position.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Applicant's resumes must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-05 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Purchase supplies and/or materials in person, telephonically, or by various computer websites; 2) Ensure purchases are within established monetary limitations set by an organization; 3) Evaluate purchase requests for adequacy of description, restrictive features and presence of administrative data necessary for procurement; 4)Utilize an automated supply system to track material status and to keep others informed of order and projected delivery dates.
