We're looking for a talented Systems Engineer who has the experience necessary to help build out our existing infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. We're a growing company with a team of highly dedicated IT professionals who give their all to help our enterprise flourish. The ideal candidate for this position can prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the construction and expansion of our systems so that updates and other maintenance tasks don't get in the way of daily operations. We're interested in self-motivated individual to enhance current operations of our team. This position is located in our corporate offices in Fairfax, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the healthy operations of all networked systems.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new hardware and software.
  • Test and verify safe operations and integration of software before integrating into company network.
  • Provide technical direction to IT support staff of escalated issues.
  • Lifecycle management of hardware, software, and other internal processes.
  • Overall management of networked systems (Servers, SAN's, VMWare, Windows Servers file and print services, Domain Controllers, VLAN's, Active Directory, WAN and LAN services, Data Center capacity management and planning, Security management and reporting, Disaster recovery, Backups and recovery).
  • Desired State Configuration management using SCCM, Powershell, other deployment tools.
  • Process and procedural documentation.
  • Help guide and lead internal projects.


Required Skills & Required Experience

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years on the job experience or 6+ years of experience in system engineering and IT support.
  • Knowledge, installation and maintenance of Windows Systems and AD infrastructure.
  • Exchange Services experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary IT Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization/follow-up.
  • US Citizenship is required for this position.


Preferred:
  • Office 365 Administration experience.
  • Storage experience/certifications.
  • Mobile Device Management experience.
