Person in this position should be able to focus on deep experience with technologies.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Consultant who specializes in Project Server Customization, test and implementations who will partner with customer business decision makers and IT teams to understand their business requirements and address these using Microsoft technologies.Engage in senior level business and/or technology decision maker discussions related to project objectives, business process, requirements and provide perspective on recommended technical approach (Senior Con)Develop and understanding of customer business requirements and project objectives; Design and deliver technical solutions to meet business requirements.Ensure solutions align with the intent of the architecture allowing for clear build test specifications and development of operations guides for the customer.Develop integration tests & other gate criteria that align with business requirements & project plan.Provide stakeholder assistance throughout deployment to avoid/resolve technical issues. Review engagement to identify shared areas of improvement & communicate to customerTechnical Qualifications5+ years of experience in IT systems development or consultingQualified candidates must have expert level, hands on experience with one of the following, preferably both:Microsoft Project Servers 2010/2013/2016 -- In-depth knowledge with experience in designing and implementing solutions with MS Project Server features/functionality. Candidates must be experienced with Project Server configurations, architecture, security, and provisioning the service application. If candidate doesn't have experience with MS Project, strong SharePoint 2016 installation, configuration, and migrations with on prem infrastructure will be acceptable.Configure Microsoft Project Online/Server (Custom Fields, EPTS, PDPs, Project Sites etc..)Troubleshoot issues related to projects, timesheets, and other common issuesDemonstrate knowledge in MS Project Pro scheduling, building templates, creating formulas, views, and filtersAbility to create and/or maintain Project Workflows using SharePoint DesignerCustomizing Project Details pages, Project Sites, Web Part pages using built-in SharePoint capabilitiesDemonstrate EPM domain knowledge in combination with broad technology knowledge and the ability to architect solution by mapping common enterprise business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutionsThorough knowledge of Microsoft Project Server and experience implementing, configuring, customizing and administering the applicationMicrosoft SQL Server or other relational database management systemMS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS); Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Actuate, Cognos BI or other related reporting software will be consideredMicrosoft SharePoint Services (WSS), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Microsoft Search Server (MSS) or other web-based collaboration and document management platforms Other Qualifications:Ability to communicate Project Server product benefits and our unique service capabilities and offerings to IT and business leaders.Ability to gather and translate customer business requirements into a use case for Microsoft Project Server (or other products) and drive adoptionExperience in customer-facing roles with demonstrated capability in clearly presenting thoughts and ideas confidently to audiences of various sizes and technical knowledge levels.Demonstrated aptitude for providing extraordinary customer service in politically charged environments.Ability to adapt to the customer's changing needs or requirements as they arise.Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and also in collaboration with a global team of Consultants and EngineersPossess real passion for continuous learning, strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, time management skills, and good judgement.Ability to improve the technical expertise of peers via the development of product related intellectual capital and mentoring new hires.Ability to apply knowledge to improve existing products and systems in the customer environment and for internal use.Assist in developing strategies to gain additional business by communicating opportunities to account teams.Education:Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems.
